WBA president Gilberto Mendoza reports that cruiserweight champion Guillermo "Felino" Jones (36-3, 28KOs) of Panama is about to be stripped of his crown. He won the WBA title with a knockout of Firat Arslan in September 2008. All sorts of issues outside of the ring and fight postponements have caused Jones too sit out for nearly two years, but the title is being held hostage around his waist. Cruiserweights are lucky that Jones has been on the shelf because he would've beaten a lot of the current crop of Cruisers.
