Floyd Mayweather Jr: "There's a better chance of me knocking him out than him knockin

check this, dude woke G.Leon up at 2 in the morn:

    credit: **********.net
July 20, 2005 - After speaking with Winky Wright last night, Floyd Mayweather Jr got a call from ********** to let him know what Wright had to say. Unfortunately Mayweather was unavailable so I had to leave a message briefly filling him in. At about 2AM I was awoken by the pound for pound king with the following explosion, "Are you ready for this interview? A lot of people are talking about the Floyd Mayweather-Winky Wright fight. Winky Wright is fighting but they don't have an opponent for November. I think Winky's a good boxer, but you have to do your homework on this guy. Every weight class I move to I get knockouts. I moved to 140 pounds and in the last six months I got two knockouts at 140. Now look at his career. This guy tells you he's going to knock me out, how's he going to knock me out when he has two knockouts in the last six years and I have two knockouts in the last six months? There's a better chance of me knocking him out than him knocking me out. Shane Mosley came up from lightweight and he's a junior middleweight and he couldn't knock Mosley out in two fights. Yeah, he got a good jab, but there's no fighter out there that's going to beat me with a jab. Trinidad is straight up and down with no special effects and Shane Mosley is a frontrunner. I'm something different, I'm there for twelve rounds and I can give it and take it. And okay, okay, say if he's punching a little bit, he's still not punching than any of the 140 pounders that I'm facing right now. I don't believe Winky Wright punches harder than Arturo Gatti!"

    Sign it.

Anyone here a member? I'm interested to hear what he said about Zab and Hopkins. Pretty hilarious story, btw.

Mayweather is THE biggest MORON in Boxing! He just doesn't get it at all. He totally degrades every single fighter that he faces and tells everyone they are a c+ fighter or whatver. Then he wonders why he doesn't get the respect he thinks he deserves! Well no **** man! You just told us the fighter you were facing was a chump. Why the hell would we care if you beat him up. For once I want Mayweather to fight someone that HE THINKS is actually a great fighter.

I don't get what you're saying. All he did was respond to what Winky said and he responded with facts. Who was the last person with a pulse that Winky Wright knocked out?

think Winky's a good boxer, but you have to do your homework on this guy.
          Did he not say that?

You don't get what I am saying?? Mayweather says everyone he fights sucks. He says Winky can't knock anyone out and the only thing he has is a jab. He says Gatti is a c+ fighter and doens't deserve to fight him. All he is doing is making the public believe that every person he fights is actually not nearly as good as advertised....so who then really gives a damn if Floyd walks out there and whips him. He just told us the guy he was fighting was a horrible fighter.

For once mayweather needs to realize that if he builds the guy up and says that he is an amazing fighter THEN walks out there a whips him people might truely be impressed.

You would think Mayweather would realize this after he just got his FIRST pay per view fight. pathetic.

Name me one time when a guy showered compliments on his opponent before a big fight

Jermain Taylor towards Hopkins. Ricky Hatton before Tsyzu. (you could have looked at my pictures for that answer man)

I keeps sigs, avatars and images off the screen cause I'm posting at work . I know what you're saying, but to be honest with you I was a little annoyed by all the smiling and hugging that went on before and after the Hatton-Tszyu fight. I mean, I don't think you have to hate your opponent the way that Morales and Barrera do but it's nice to see guys at least spew a bit of venom. Hopkins is the probably the best at this, saying horrible stuff about his opponent when playing his executioner character but still being a decent guy otherwise. Taylor was good in this role as well. Floyd's always been a bit of an odd one, and I think he tries to do the same thing but it comes off all wrong.
