Comments Thread For: Alexander vs. Kotelnik Early Results From St. Louis

St. Louis - In the evening's first bout, Vardan Gasparyan (12-2-5) defeated Jesse Davis 11-19-1) in a slugfest in the welterweight division. The Armenian set the tempo from the beginning as both men exchanged power punches. Gasparyan clearly got the best of it and he poured on left upper cuts and right hooks as the first round came to an end. The second round was even more lopsided as Davis appeared gassed and his punches were even slower and wider. The ref stopped the bout at the 2:43 mark of the 2nd round.

the good news for Spinks is that he doesn't have to fight Angulo now. Reason being if he couldn"t survive K9, Angulo probably wouldve decapitated him. I hope this isn't the last hoorah for Cory though. I think he is a true champion in every sense of the word. " happy trails"

Spinks has been done for some time now. Although I like Cory, I think it's time for him to hang it up. I was just reading an interview on another site where Spinks was saying that Mayweather could get it, haha. If he can't handle K-9 no way he could beat Floyd. Matter fact, he couldn't fight Floyd anyway since he seems to be on vacation....LOL!!

Damn, that was it for Cory. He needs to move to Europe and fight for their titles over their lol.

Damn it, I wanted Spinks for Cotto (assuming of course Cotto broke free of the Top Rank circle jerk). But I agree, its about time to hangem up.

And to think, they were trying to put Spinks in there with Angulo. He would've been murdered...Looks like St. Louis was disappointed all the way around tonight with that poor performance from Alexander as well.

Cory 'The Marathon Runner' Spinks gets KO'd in his hometown AGAIN...LOL!! I've never liked his style. Credit to Emmanuel Steward for having the blueprint to beat Cory since he went up against him when he was with Jermaine Taylor. You gotta dog him, pressure him, and be aggressive.
