Comments Thread For: Zab Judah "Super" Once Again, Back in The 140 Picture

By Ryan ******** - NEWARK, NJ - The topsy-turvy career of former junior-welterweight and welterweight champion Zab Judah appears to be on the upswing for the moment following a spectacular third round knockout of former WBC interim lightweight titlist Jose Armando Santa Cruz at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The fight was televised by ESPN2's Friday Night Fights.

Judah, now 39-6 (27 KO), weighed in at 141 to his opponent's 143 in hopes of returning to glory in the division he first won championship glory in. With titlists Timothy Bradley, Devon Alexander and Amir Khan in need of a recognizable dance partner, Judah's name has to be re-entered into title fight discussions at 140 pounds. I wouldln't call him Super just yet. Good job by Zab but i'll need to see more before I start saying he's back. A fight with Khan would be awesome. But GBP will keep protecting him.

If Khan won't fight Maidana, and if he won't fight Bradley or Alexander, then at least get in there with Zab Judah.

That's better than wanting to fight Katsidis and Marquez.

i was very impressed with Zab yes he had a perfect opponent but nonetheless he did what was required

what a left uppercut Judah still has. if his mind is focused and he's in shape i give him a shot at beating one of the top three

he still falls under the too much risk for little reward bracket though for someone like Khan to want to fight him

a fight against Ortiz would be interesting don't think Zab wants that though lol

Judah always looks good against boxers that are not elite. It's when he steps up to the top dogs he gets KTFO.

I hope Zab does stay serious about boxing, say what you want about him but he keeps the sport interesting.

Get him to fight some contenders like Ortiz or Maidana then you can start raving about fights with Devon, Khan or Bradley. He wins 1 fight against a bum and he's already super and somehow a big contender. He needs to get in line like everyone else rather than trash talking his way into a fight with Khan like he's tried to do before.
