The WBO's world boxing champion at 130-pounds Roman "Rocky" Martinez, received a training camp visit from the Philippine world champion at 115 pounds Nonito Donaire Jr. on Wednesday at the Sports Complex Gym in Puerto Rico. I noticed that too. Donaire needs to move up. I am sure he wants better and bigger competition. Beating up midgets and guys 10 lbs. smaller on Pinoy Power has to get old eventually. If top fighters can't get good fights, they move up. It's loooooong over due for Donaire.Comment

Donaire is huge for his weight class. It's no wonder that he's talking about going up to 118 and then 122 and then even higher. Looking at the guy it seems crazy that he was fighting at 112 only a couple of years ago, But alot of fighters can start off at a low weight but as you get older it gets harder and harder to cut the weight. I think Donaire can win titles in alot of weight classes, To me it's only a question of whether Bob Arum will give him the push that his talent deserves.Comment
