Nah, I'm not too high on Juan Manuel Lopez. I thought Canelo was going to be great before I saw him get rocked by a natural lightweight. My friend who lives in Mexico tells me they are hyping him to be the next Julio Cesar Chavez. There are very few fighters, no matter how good they are, who can live up to that. I have nothing against Canelo, but he is being too hyped up by the Mexican media.

WOOOOOOOOW.....OK I don't live in Mex nor do I talk boxing with the peeps in Mex so I have no idea if this true....but if it is....then I have to agree with you...weather or not this is true well....I kinda doubt it.....like you said JCC cast a mighty big BIG shadow....I doubt they would put that kinda pressure on this kid (19 years of age) which also accounts for "getting rocked" kid is still learning....by the way is that a fact??? natural lightweight??? interesting info I did not know....

Next Chavez may have been an exaggeration, but I'm not sure. He did get rocked by Jose Miguel Cotto who is a natural lightweight and was going to move back down before the chance to fight Alvarez came up.

JuanMa may have a big fight with Marquez this year.

                Alveraz might fight Matthew Hatton?

JuanMa now and in the future and its not even close.

Lopez is the better fighter and also will be the bigger star. Alverez showed me nothing when he stepped up from very poor competition. At least Lopez has been able to beat top fighters and do it in impressive fashion. Alverez has a long way to go if he wants to ever really make it onto HBO or SHO as a main eventer.

He looks Irish, speaks Mexican, and fights Black.

                      The answer is Canelo.
