Only 4 KOs in 8 fights, not that impressive.

Not too impressive. Being a Cotto helped him out.

He's actually a 4 time world champ in 3 different weight classes. But that's irrelevant to this article because it's about abner cotto

They are not refering to 4 time world champ in 3 divisions Miguel Cotto, they are refering to up & coming Abner Cotto(who was the one who got the rookie of the year award)

Rosario is full of **** saying that Jonathan Gonzales should have gotten the rookie of the year award, 1st of all even thou Gonzales is undefeated he's not that good of a fighter(he's had to struggle against some of the tomato cans he's fought) On the other hand Abner(that has also represented Puerto Rico & won medals in international events) has easily dominated all of his opponents & one could make the case that Negron could have gotten the award or even Jason Velez(who is undeafeated & has won all his fights by KO) but Even thou Velez hits hard, he needs to improve his skills...& note that Miguel Cotto didn't get an award, his promoting company did, & Cotto's right hand man Brian Perez is the one who actually runs the company & Cotto makes that clear to everyone...
