Because Marquez is a defensive fighter. Reason floyd was able to land so effectively on Marquez is because he was forced to be offensive. Which everyone who isnt completely new to the sport knew from the outset marquez simply wasnt any good at.

And the only times Marquez had been down in his career are against Pacquiao and Floyd. maybe a controversial one against Barrera so that argument is irrelevant.
