Their first encounter was really entertaining, i enjoyed watching that one. Jirov with his awkward style was throwing more punches, Toney however was counterpunching beautifully with his back against the ropes and was consistently landing the more accurate shots. Then suddenly, BOOM! Vassily was on the canvass...he got up and proceeded to get even! What a good scrap indeed. Let's get the rematch goin!

Jirov never hurt Toney in that first fight. He wouldn't hurt him in a rematch, either.
You'd see a replay of the first fight....Jirov throwing more, but Toney landing the cleaner, more effective punches.

First of all, you probably saw what you wanted to see, from the Toney-Green sparring footage.

Secondly....even if Green did get the better of Toney, it means nothing.
Do you know Robbie Peden gave Chico Corrales hell in a sparring session ?
That's fine, because in a real fight...Corrales would annihilate Peden.
Paulie Spads also caught Floyd Mayweather on a bad day in the gym, a few years back. Any question who is the better fighter, or who'd win a fight, between those two ?

What about when Abdullaev ( a fighter I like a lot) supposedly worked over Zab Judah in a sparring seesion ?
I was pretty excited to hear about it, but the I saw the footage. Zab was letting Abdullaev work, that's about it.

I didn't see it.
My main point is that sparring sessions mean very little.
You'll realize this once you become more familiar with the sport of boxing.
