Comments Thread For: Roman Karmazin: One Final Chance For The Warrior

By Alexey Sukachev and Vladimir Begun Jr. - He speaks softly and humbly… But one can feel rather than hear an inevitable firm core of his voice. That’s the firmness of an old, fatigued man who is tired of a lengthy resistance both in his body and in his soul; yet has enough will and desire to put forward another display of his true self and to silence his critics and ill-wishers once again … And to reward his admirers too.

Yes, but he'll be with Cotto on Saturday.

Karmazin is a beast, I thought he got robbed in the Spinks fight, he shouldn't have ever fought him in St. Louis, that's like fighting Clazaghe in Wales or Froch in Nottingham. He was pushing the action the entire time and every time he got close enough to Spinks the ref would jump in, they weren't even clinching.

He was a street fighter in St. Petersburgh before he became a boxer, the type of street fighter where the looser would sometimes be carried out to the morgue and not the hospital. That's how he got his nickname...

Real shame that for such a career, he never earned any money...

I loved Karmazin's incredible off the canvas effort back in January. For a 37 year-old fighter whose been through the wars and suffered the disappointments he has, that showed remarkable toughness and determination. It's still the best fight I've seen this year. Freddie Roach was inspirational in the corner that night and I don't think Karmazin would have got the knock-out without him there willing him on. Hope they go well together this weekend.

Karmazins punch resistance is completely gone. I would like to see him beat sylvester but the german will most likely take this by UD with a possibility of a KO.

I've always liked Roman Karmazin. I don't know if he's got another big win left but he comes to fight.
