Heīs fought some ok fighters, you donīnt know about them because the fights were not aired on US TV. The world is not the US only, idiot. And he didnīt have an amateur background. He just TKoed Cotto, and no ine had been able to before.

You are the typical Potorro, full of **** , excuses, and anvy towards Mexicans. Cotto trained very hard and got his ass kicked by a 19 year old. Cotto has a good record, weight was not an issue. The fight was not stopped prematurely, Cotto admitted losing. Still mad about Margoīs beating of Cotto???? hahahaha.

I understand he is young and doesn't have an amateur background, but it's just weird to see a guy with a 32-0-1 record being referred to as a prospect.

He needs more fights, slowly increase the difficulty in opponents through each fight, they should not be blow outs, but opponents that slightly give him the edge so he can challenge himself, fix any bad habits, grow his confidence, and actually learn. I wish GBP would've kept him a secret until the time was right, but i guess that's business.

as for JCC jr, John Duddy is his first real test, and is no walk in the park by any means. Have to wait and see because this fight will show what hes made of, thats for sure.

Give the kid a break he's only 19yo.

Life is a learning curve, and so is boxing. It takes a lot more than 30 pro fights to prove that you're ready for Manny or Floyd

Let him learn his lessons slowly, the important thing is that he learns them well.

Although, I do partly agree with Njord.....

Now Alvarez is entering that 30+ fights arena where a fighter can usually be expected to have developed some habits or stylistic traits that they'll carry for their career.

Saul is young, but you don't want to keep feeding him opponents that might allow him to develop bad habits or weaknesses in his style. I don't care who they are, if you've fought 35-40 guys, you're going to have some pretty concrete habits evolving.

Saul is young, so give him another 3 or 4 guys, one better than the next, and have him go for title contention within the next two years.
You have to assume that his handlers will bring him along at the right pace, but it is important that he faces challenges so that can develop his confidence and fine tune his game.

I think Saul Alvarez and Yuri Foreman fights and looks the same. They can box well from the outside but both of them are featherfisted. Although Alvarez punch a little harder than Foreman.

I seen this kid fight good boxers have u seen his fights??? I dont know whats with all this trash talk about him I do see he needs some footwork but thatll get in place and now that he hit that age where ur body stop growing he has the time to adjust.

If Berto is cherry-picking opponents hell should fight Canelo same weight class + im sure this kid will give him hell like Cullazo so itll be a good fight!

Let me tell the mass why Canelo didn't look impressive against Cotto, Cotto was a fighter that normally kills himself to shrink down to lightweight and for this fight all he had to do is get himself into fighting shape and not train to get down in weight. He looked good early on but faded rapidly due to his small statue. It was basically 1 of those fights where the little guy gets lucky but gets hurt later on lol.
