For a group of semitic (yes, their people have been on that long just as long if not longer) people they are by far the most tolerant and open in their ideas. Isreal is one of the very few melting pots to be found in the middle east and that alone is a damn good reason to support them. Women's rights, civil rights, religious freedom...I guess those are reasons to hate Isreal to people like you.
