Very shortly, Kevin Mitchell (31-0, 23 KOS) will take the biggest test of his career when he faces WBO interim-lightweight champion Michael Katsidis (26-2, 21 KOs). Katsidis has only two defeats at the hands of experienced former champions, Joel Casamayor and Juan Diaz. He bounced back with wins over Angel Ramirez, Jesus Chavez and Vicente Escobedo. Mitchell never had a great defence and it was exposed here.

This fight is sad. How can the Brits really believe their own press when they talk about their fighters. The funny thing was how the ref tried to save the kid, but he was too hurt so even ref interference wasn't enough to by him time to recover.
