At the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, California, undefeated welterweight prospect Vernon Paris (21-0, 14 KOs) stayed alive with a lackluster eight round split decision over Juan Santiago (12-4-1, 7 KOs). The scores were 76-75, 76-75 for Paris and 77-74 for Paris. Paris was not impressive. He seemed to gas out by the third round and only fought in spurts.

The first fight was pretty good since i thought Paris was going to take him apart. Fight of the night is so boring that i had to move away from my tv.
