Punching power told in this fight, Taylor threw and landed an unbelievable amount of punches but Chavez landed his fair share in between, although he was constantly being outlanded. You wouldn't think a fighter who landed 457 punches could be on the losing end but it's what happened, controversial call or not.
Still, I believe that this fight along with the Buddy McGirt fight shows that a prime Meldrick Taylor would be a very tough task for anyone who isn't a big puncher at 140 lbs.Comment
