Shane is older now. He had a great career. Last night doesn't mean much for his legacy. I'll always think of Shane as a great Sugar.

    I never thought so.

Maybe at LW, but his style doesn't fit the sugar moniker.

Mosley was always a come forward brawler. Not a boxer.

Now i get you. So it's not the monicker alone for you.

Last night wasn't true Sugar IMHO, well his age was a factor hence the performance (its a fact that he's 38yrs old). In his prime sugar was being his nick.

I think your personal expectations play a role here, Shane adapting the nick Sugar might have something to do with his admiration to Leonard or Robinson, might be just a random monicker he adapted, or might be his mental state, in those case we would never know.

Shane always will be sugar, the fight with Floyd won't diminish that.

Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Shane Mosley actually had very similar styles, they also both had great power and great chins with good speed.

i think that sums it up. The title of Sugar was on the line for Shane last night.

in comparison to the other two then no, im afraid not. Had he won last night then most definitely, that fight (for him) was TO BE the 3rd sugar.
