    Mayweather-Mosley, my 2 cents...

I have been reading a lot of different comments about the Mayweather-Mosley fight and thought I would just share some thoughts.

Why was Shane gassed by the fourth?
I've always thought of Shane as someone who has fought in bursts. He has been able to get away with it for the most part because either his opponents did not throw that many punches or Shane did not allow them to (like Margarito).

Mayweather forced Mosley to fight at a pace he wasn't comfortable with at this age and if Mosley even thought about resting Mayweather whipped his neck with straight right hands. Mosley couldn't stop Mayweather from this because he couldn't mess with May's defense. He basically had two options, wait and get hit or waste energy throwing a flurry of punches that missed and then get hit.

Did Mosley lose his will or give up?
These are some of the ****** comments I have been reading. Hell no Shane Mosley did not give up. His body just couldn't do what his will wanted to do. I would be frustrated also if my body wasn't responding the way it did 3 years ago and I found this out during the biggest fight of my life.

    Was Mosley too old?
No, I don't think so. Even though he isn't what he was a couple years ago he is still a good fighter. A lot of people made a big deal about the fact that Mayweather may not have fought anyone as fast as Mosley before, but no one made a big deal about the fact that Mosley hadn't. I don't think Mosley ever fought anyone that was faster than him.

Mosley was never one to move his head much, which makes sense if you are the one who has faster handspeed and throws more punches. This time it wasn't the case. The first couple rounds showed that this was a good, serious Shane Mosley that came to win. He just wasn't in the same league as Floyd Mayweather at this point in time. But then again, I don't think anyone is.

    Should Mosley Retire?
I think so. He had a great career. Even though he might still be able to win another championship it wouldn't really add too much to his legacy. He had a good payday in this fight and he can always look back and say that I was thisclose to knocking out Floyd Mayweather Jr.
