By Lee Groves - Upsets make the sports world go ’round and boxing experienced its share of them this past weekend.

Inside the ring a late surge by Sergio Martinez allowed him to win Kelly Pavlik’s WBC and WBO middleweight titles and open up a world of new opportunities.

Thousands of miles to the south, a blatant foul prompted a disqualification whose aftermath ignited tempers and passions throughout the arena.

Depending what new tricks kessler has up his sleeve, him & froch could be a potential FOTY candidate! or at least fight of the super six candidate!

like the article but just gotta say, i saw the pererya-pedrero fight, and i don't think he was 'stunned' prior to the clinch and his subsequent collapse in the corner was an act in response to the dirty punching, quite akin to the dives we see from footballers trying to highlight the foul to the referee in a theatrical way. i find it interesting (and worrying) how this method was here used in boxing to gain an instant result...
