In the opening bout of HBO's doubleheader, in Montreal, IBF super midleweight champion Lucian Bute stopped Edison Miranda in three rounds. The main event, from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, saw Sergio Martinez lift the WBC/WBO middleweight titles from Kelly Pavlik with a unanimous twelve round decision. Bute has some sick power, he might be one of the most p4p hardest punchers in this sport currently. -
I just watched the fight again, and those numbers a very flawed IMO. Miranda landed far more shots then Bute in rd 1. About even in rd 2, and Bute completely took over in Rd 3. Miranda landed at least 12-15 shots in rd one alone though.

damn bute sure can pop no one has done that to Miranda not AA not Kelly pavlik and both of em r big hitters!!! And bute has this solarplex uppercut he does to the body takes the wind right out of u bute hit Miranda wit a couple of those and Miranda felt those that's why he wanted to show he was tuft butt he really felt it...and that uppercut he throws after the jab that's sweet and god damn this guy sells out the arena everytime when he fights the dude's a rockstar in Montreal
bute seems to b still getting better and better that's shows how good he'll b when he fully reaches he's potential..

He has good power actually, but not that good. He is not one of the hardest p4p hitter in the sport, just forget that. He ko'es people because he places his punches well.
I remember Tatsevoyan (something like that), a man Froch ko'ed, saying Bute's weakness was his power (he went the distance with Bute and took a lot of punishment, and Bute couldn't put him away).
