Has Froch just been very lucky so far in his career?

Im not hating on Froch even though i dont like him as a preson, he does have the right attitude in fighting everyone and not dodging.

Do you think the reason he is where he is now mainly due to being very lucky?

He fought bums in England , then faced Jean Pascal for a vacant title, who has pretty good but not world class at the time imo
He then lost at least 9 out of the 12 rounds to J.Taylor but got a last minute TKO.
He then faced A.Dirrell and won a split decision who many thought he lost.

So it seems like Froch has been very lucky in his career, well uptil now.

Froch is pretty gritty and he wants to win, so I wouldn't call it luck.
He overcame some adversity at times, and that's what champs do.

I don't particularly like him but I think it's unfair to him to say it's luck.

There is no way you get to his level unbeaten by luck! Watch the Pascal fight again if you want to see the determination and indomitable spirit of Froch. He may not have the slick skills but he has something and it ain't just luck.

If Froch would be called lucky I'd say the only thing that makes him lucky is Jermain getting beat by Pavlik before he fought him, hard to see him getting that same 12th round KO if Pavlik hadn't beaten Taylor before him

I would not say that.He beat Pascal in a very exciting fight. He Beat Taylor in a exciting fight I think you gave Taylor to many rds but I had it a little closer.Dirrell beat him self because he did not come to fight. He try to steal
a victory and it does not work that way.So I don't think he is lucky I feel he fights with pride and try's his best to win and has done so.

Your post makes no sense Taylor was on a decline before the Pav fight. He had close wars with ouma and the smaller Winky wright. He was not stopping anybody and word was not training hard anymore.Oh and he went the distance with Pav in the rematch.

I agree. Even Cory Spinks beat him in my opinion. He reminds me of Antonio Tarver. Living off of two career defining victories over an ATG, but as soon as he faces a younger guy with some skill, he gets beaten.

But you gotta admit, Pavlik did put the icing on the cake. Taylor's stamina played a huge role in his future losses, but his ability to take a punch and defend himself was gone.

Pav was the first which is way everyone likes to give him credit for ruining Taylor.I agree Pav K.O.'d him horrible. But their next fight went the distance and IMO Taylor did not look bad in that fight. But that should take nothing away from Froch to call him lucky(Not saying you said this)He is not a skilled guy who is gonna dance around all day that's not his style. He is brash and a boxer/puncher who likes to mix it up and has been very successful with it not lucky.
