Comments Thread For: Freddie Roach, Lenny De Jesus Clash Before The Fight

While pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Ghana’s Joshua Clottey showed their utmost respect for one another before stepping into the ring set up right on top of the star in the center of the fantastic Dallas Cowboys Stadium, their trainers have had a go at each other, effectively picking up the rhetoric nearing fight time. Who is LDJ? Its true that LDJ had been with the corner of Pacquiao six times of his fights before including Pac-Morales 1 fight?, does it mean he knows the secrets of how to beat Pac?

First it was Cotto with a pseudo-trainer, and he lost. Now it's Clottey with a pseudo-trainer in LDJ - and LDJ advocated that he didn't need to see any tape on MP b/c he knows MP already. Really? MP is very different from what LDJ has seen in the past. So, we'll see come Sat (March 13th). MP in the 8th or 9th, by TKO or KO.

This is why the refs are so crucial in these fights... and I do think that the safety of the fighter is most important, however, how many times have you seen a fight where a fighter unloads on their opponent (usually at the ropes) and it looks devistating but then you see the replay and the opponent really blocked most of the shots. And obviously you can't block and throw at the same time in a situation like that. I mean, can you imagine back in the day in some of those great fights having the refs we do now. We surely wouldn't have gotten the great fights we did, now. Maybe they should impliment the standing 8 count more, and if the fighter is truly hurt then they should be able to finish them off.

Is not about how pacquiao fights today is about how he trains, the habits that he has etc, that is what LDJ was talking about when he said he knew pacquiao.. i think pacquiao will win but if anybody can upset pacquiao is clottey, i think is a better fighter than people give him credit for.

Anyway Pacquiao by TKO in 8

Not at all. De Jesus was in the corner for the last time for the first Morales fight.
I you look through Pacs fights, the biggest change came between the first and second Morales fights. Manny got bigger and stronger and destroyed Erik.
De Jesus knows Pacman as well as i do. Good Luck Lenny!

Or did Morales simply get smaller and drained?
