depends on how dominant or convincing each win is.

P4P lists are not based on simple wins/losses. For example, Williams beat Winky Wright and a lot people brought him down to the lower part of the top 10 P4P list. Why, you may ask yourself? I don't know, probably because of Winky's near 2-year lay off. Another example is Cotto's win over Clottey. Cotto just won a decision over a top 5 WW and very tough opponent; Why did he go down 1-2 slots on some people's P4P lists? Both answers are obvious.

Now i'll leave you to think about who will be #1 from Mayweather and Pacquiao if they beat their next opponents. Did they actually beat them or did they get hometown decisions? Did they dominate their opponents? We'll just have to wait and see. Remember P4P lists are not official, they're all mythical.

nah really, all things being equal and they both win via wide UD, then everything remains status quo. pac would still be #1.
doesnt really matter though cuz theyre neck and neck regardless.

Both Chavez and Whitaker when they fought were #1 and #2 P4P back in 1993. It is a little bit less then two decades...

Keep in mind Clottey lost to Cotto already and Mosley last fought in January or was it February? of 2009. So there you have 2 factors, one for each fight.
