By Robert Morales - Gary Shaw was reached by telephone Wednesday. He was asked if boxing fans are ever going to get to see the rematch between Nonito Donaire and Vic Darchinyan, who Saturday will defend his two super flyweight belts against Rodrigo Guerrero at Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

"One thousand percent on behalf of Darchinyan, probably zero percent on behalf of Donaire," said Shaw, Darchinyan's promoter. "But I can't speak for him. You need to call Bob Arum and listen to his line of bulls**t. If we win Saturday, we would sign that fight Sunday."

Shaw was asked to what he was referring when he talked about Arum's "line of bulls**t." He intimated he was still bewildered about not getting much of a response from Arum's Top Rank Inc. when he offered up Timothy Bradley for a fight with Edwin Valero; Bradley is co-promoted by Shaw and Thompson Boxing, Valero by Top Rank [Click Here To Read More]

Paul Williams vs. Kermit Cintron in California? What sense does that make? This is has to take place on the East Coast or in Florida.

It says AC is booked on May 8th and HBO dates usually can't just be switched around like that.

Good instigating a back and forth between Shaw and Arum. Shaw has become my favorite promoter, look at his fighters and look at the comp they fight. He's not afraid to put his fighters in dangerous fights, unlike Arum who's prevented 2 #1 vs. #2 matchups in just one year.

On another note: Props to Robert Morales, this is probably the best weekly column on BS or at least my favorite (no nuthugger).

Yo on some real **** I didn't even read this article. Vic is my favorite fighter. If he fights smart Donaire can't beat him. I'm not saying Donaire can't beat him, but if Vic fights smart he can't beat him. Straight up. Donaire has faught noone since. Vic cleaned out the divisions top dudes. Nonito's ***** ass has faught bums and replacement opponents ever since. How that puts you top 7 , top 5, whatever it is, Ring Magazine Pound for Pound list is beyond me. Donaire aint ****. Like how many Philipinos are ordering Pinoy Power? Seriously. Doanaire can't even make weight for these fights. Lets be real. Yet Vic takes challenges and headlines Shotime. Lets be real. Vic has to win Saturday, and hopefully he's focused enough to do so, but if he wins, he is going to beat Nonito Donaire's ass. What is Bob Arum affraid of losing here? Were talking about the Jr. Bantamweight division. How much money will he lose if Donaire loses to Vic. I'm going to say none at all. Seriously. **** Donaire. If he beats the Raging Bull then so be it. But stop running. HBO doesn't show anything under 122. What TV deals really have to be worked out? Vic is a Shotime fighter. Nonito Donarie is a nobody fighter. I got little beef with Top Rank or Arum but come on. They don't want to put Valero with Bradley is understandable. They don't want to put Donaire in a rematch with Darchinyan? Come on man. Thats bull****.

And whats even worst is every post so far is about Cintron Williams. I don't even check these responses, but lets see how many Vic haters or Donaire lovers go at me in this post.

I can see why darchiniyan is wanting a piece of donaire after what happnd in their last fight and I would watch the 2nd fight if it were to happen.I wouldn't blame though either if donaire had a "been there done that" mentality towards the fight but only if he goes up against someone with a name if he goes higher in weight, which I don't see happening though.
Its amazing to me that buster and iron mike still haven't talked or bumped into each other since their fight,Thought they would let bygones be bygones by now.
Dont care where they fight at, p-dub winning it whether in the east, south , or west coast ,3rd coast, northwest..

This Gary Shaw is a clown! He said before that Donaire would not have a piece of Darch anymore as long as he handles Darch, because of what Donaire did to him. But when King Kong Agbiko made Darch just a Raging Bull**** then all of a sudden Shaw not only changed tone but obsessed for a Donaire-Darch rematch! Why Mr. Shaw, d'you feel better now and overcome the fact that once upon a time Donaire disowned you after he busted Darch ass??! Darch, except that he's still holding the WBA and the WBC titles, is trim-lined just at Superflyweight, and will not offer much to Donaire who is planning to go to the Bantamweight divisions because of his weight problem. Donaire-darch still good but more exciting to see Donaire against either Morel, Montiel or to Hozumi Hasagawa in the Bantamweight div.!
