  • Comments Thread For: Ricky Hatton Dumps Lee Beard, Wants New Trainer

According to Daily Mail, former two division champion Ricky Hatton has split from trainer Lee Beard, who worked the corner of the Manchester star for the last three years. Beard was the assist to Hatton former longtime trainer Billy Graham. He worked with Floyd Mayweather Sr. too. Beard was going to train Hatton for his June return. The paper reports that Hatton was angry with Beard for flying out to America to train Joan Guzman. The paper claims Beard left in the middle of training younger brother Matthew Hatton for a February 19 bout. It also left Ricky without a trainer. The man who may take over for Beard is Bob Shannon, who trains several fighters under Hatton's promotional company. [Click Here To Read More]

Shame it won't make an ounce of difference in his performances.

Never should of split from Billy Graham. He let the Mayweathers and the GBP people influence him and make him think Graham was no good or a "1 dimensional club fighter trainer". Despite the fact Graham's the one who led him to 43 victories along with Lee Beard.
