Mitchell is a good opponent, he has speed and power. This won't be an easy fight.
I think if Dmitry gets past Mitchell, Kelly Pavlik will drop the WBO title because Ross Greenburg doesn't like East European boxers and is very reluctant to have them on HBO.
Dmitry will likely end up fighting someone else for a vacant WBO title. -
I don't know if Dmitry is any good as I haven't seen any of his fights, but he slings Pavliks name around like he's some kind of monster. He's going to earn this title shot by beating a 40 year old fighter in Moscow no less. Real impressive.Comment

Sometimes it's better not to post, especially when one is not informed about a fighter. Watch Pirog on youtube and you will change your mind quickly. Also you shouldn't pay too much attention on what is written about someone having apparently said something. It's usually out of context and before coming up with ones judgement, one should have sound information.
As for the 40 year old opponent, have you seen him fighting?Comment

Pirog will beat Mitchell, and it will be a good learning experience. But Mitchell is, in fact, 40, hasn't fought for more than a year and has a history of inactivity. He's never beaten an elite or near elite fighter in their prime. While it will be a good experience for Pirog because Mitchell does have talent, it's ****** that this fight is the one that will earn him a title shot.Comment

But I bet there will be no Pirog-Pavlik fight. HBO's Ross Greenburg doesn't like having good Eastern European fighters on, although because there are so many of them he has to from time to time. He refused to show Williams-Dzinziruk, Adamek-Johnson, Adamek-Cunningham, Wlad-Chambers, Wlad-Chagaev, Vitali-Peter, Vitali-Gomez, etc.Comment
