Can't wait to see this guy against some American opposition. Hopefully he isn't another over hyped fighter.

I hope he signs with top rank I just have a bad feelin if he signs with golden boy he'll be throwwn into the wolves soon and that might ruin alvarez......and in my opinion that would be a huge letdown for me because I'm having high hopes for this kid.

Yep agreed. Top rank is more protective with their prospects.

the future of the welterweight division

This kid's been on the scene for awhile. Some people have already dubbed him *knock on wood* "the next JCC sr." which is too early and they might jinx 'em anyway. If GBP signs him, I hope they steadily feed him better opponents, he should be ready for journeyman and maybe 2011 he should be fighting gatekeepers/former world champs. so when pac or pbf retire, Mexico will unleash its new champ.

p.s. this kid will handle jcc jr. with ease

Golden Boy does not know how to develop fighters. I would rather see this kid go somewhere else.

Yep...the guy should take a long look at Lou DiBella. Big Lou cares about these guys, (Remember even B-Hop saying after the Trinidad fight "I'd like to thank my promoter, and MY FRIEND, Lou Dibella..."), and would beless likely to let the kid get lost in the politcal shuffle we constantly see at GBP and Top Rank.

I agree that GB buys its talent and doesn't develop it, but having said that. This guy is coming with a gaudy record and PR to match. GB will give him world wide exposure.
