WBO: No Blood Test for Pacquiao-Clottey Fight
Collapse

Maybe but I maintain you need a year long testing period for blood mapping to be effective, a 1 fight deal is not going to give sufficient data to make any analysis effective.Comment

The key word in your sentence is maybe. Nevertheless, I agree - which is why it should be standard. Regardless, you'd have to be a serious juicer to take that risk with those two tests combined.Comment

While I agree that it was unnecesary for Floyd to request NSAC testing, I don't think it was him who messed up Manny's rep. It took a lifetime to build, an MANNY STAINED IT JUST AS MUCH by not submitting to the tests.
Remember: It wasn't Mayweather's request that caused the controversy. It was Pacquiao's refusal.
The testing had been established for a while before Team Pac caused all the problems. So where were the outcries when it seemed like the testing wouldn't be a problem? I love the double standards there...
Bottom line: Manny Pacquiao created more talk about the PED controversy than ANYBODY who accused him, simply by not agreeing to take more stringent testing. Whether or not it was good or not for Floyd to request that testing is another issue.Comment
