Physically capabale, yes. I think most fighters are capable of knocking other fighters out. But in doing that he would have left himself open to counters.Mayweather not the type of fighter who will leave himself open like that. He's too smart for that.

          COULD HE, have done it?
This is the thing that I am unsure about, I mean Floyd claims he went for the KO but when I watch it again is seems like Floyd hesitated a bit cause of the layoff maybe, he wasn't letting his hands fly as much as he could of IMO and it did look to me like he wasn't putting much physical effort into a KO, so it did kinda seem like Floyd carried him so to speak.

If Floyd hadn't said that he was looking for the KO and that he pushed for it then by watching the fight I would of said yes, but him saying that makes me unsure, however he could have been just saying that to show JMM some repsect, like when Manny complimented Hattons left hook after the fight when he didn't really land much that looked like it affected Manny.

With all that said, I will go out on a limb and say yes.

No he wouldn't have stopped marquez. JMM is one tough customer, he doesn't jump in with his hands down like Ricky. Floyd wasn't stopping JMM that night.

IMO He could have let his hands go twice as much as he did, and after letting his hands go, go right back into his philly shell.. When Floyd let his hands go, Marquez looked a bit standstillish.. I rarely saw Marquez fire back when Floyd threw punches..

I think he could have made the fight get stopped if he wanted to. I do think that he tried a bit and when it just seemed like something that was going to be real hard to do he just let it go.

I mean heck wasn't Eric Gomez trying to get them to throw in the towel as it was, FLoyd certainly could have done just a bit more for that kind of stoppage.

Honestly, Marquez has too much heart. I said from the start Marquez would make it past the 12th round.
