Having a NEW drug testing standard for ONE fight is beyond ridiculous. Now if the ABC's and commissions decide to adopt the Olympic testing standards than I'm sure Pac will abide by the new blood testing method.

Total disrespect for the Pac is there. They want him to just basically bow down to what the great master Floyd's demands.

Totally understand that they are on Floyd's side but it seems to me that they are more interested in recriminating the Pacman than seeing him being stopped by their idol in the ring. If they have any sense of maturity left, what I would like to hear from them is something like, "Come on Floyd, you can beat this guy"; "I don't think he would risk hiding illegal substances in an event of this magnitude"; "You can even beat him even with roids."

Unfortunately, there seems to be no one here (maybe a few) who has that kind of attitude. Most are interested in something else.

very sensible post! few months ago we were all talking about who is going to win, who can impose his will inside the ring. it was all trash talking but harmless fun

after the baseless accusation it became so ugly and now floyd fans just wanted floyd to impose his will on manny outside the ring

the mayweathers and their cohorts really ruined March 13 for me!

Blood testing has received a lot of attention because it is a new concept in the drug testing world. There is a blood test for EPO use, but it is only an indirect test that can be used as a screening measure to save money by determining whether the urine EPO test needs to be conducted. All the blood test does is tell the testers that the athlete has an unusual blood profile that warrants further investigation. The abnormal profile could be caused by the use of EPO, some other blood boosting drug, or just be explained by the athlete being a genetic freak or living at altitude. The testers then perform the urine EPO test to determine whether artificial EPO is the cause of the abnormality. The blood test does not have to be done in order for the athlete to test positive for EPO.

Former head of the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory, one of the top drug labs in the world, and he headed the drug testing lab at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. Dr. Caitlin is the same head of the UCLA lab that helped to expose the Balco doping scandal. Dr. Catlin, considered the most prominent anti-doping drug tester in the world.

" the case of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, it is asserted that urine based testing alone, as required by the Nevada Commission does not and can not detect all banned supplements. When asked his opinion, Victor Conte, former head of BALCO, and obvious expert on the subject has given his take on the blood test crisis, In my opinion, blood testing for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is more important for detecting possible blood doping or use of EPO than it is for human growth hormone"Traditional testing in boxing, its basically worthless other than the detection of some types of stimulant, before and after a fight. To just say, Ill be tested on this date, theres all sorts of things you can do with announced testing, you cant do with unannounced testing." Though Conte is a convicted steroid distributor his opinion on this topic certainly carries weight. "

I got this from other posters, can't remember from whom but mad props to them:

If you read both articles, both experts are saying that abnormal level of EPO can be detected by blood test. The difference is, in Doc Catlin's article he explained that an ABNORMALY/ARTIFICIALLY INDUCED EPO can only be detected by URINE TEST. I'm sure if they asked that question to Conte they would get the proper answer.. And HGH as i gathered are mostly used by body builders, it helps in building mass muscles quicker than normal, BUT it doesn't help in any way in increasing an athletes speed and quickness, this drug even dampens it and makes the person slower..

HGH is not the ONLY PED out there. There are many others...

Wow, you're very funny now it's not HGH anymore. First there was steroid then HGH then EPO, now you're telling Pacman's is not on those but another PED.

              What's next Pacman's eating kryptonite?

This is the difference of being just a pure hater and unreasonable. No matter what some pac fans present they'll just continue on hating. Did Pacman really do something horrible against you to have that so much hate?

At least for me, I don't like Floyd outside of the ring but I can't deny that he's a great boxer.

I never mentioned HGH, EPO specifically. I never mentioned them. All across this thread, I have been saying PED`s. So, please be a man and don`t let your emotions control your words.

how about you can you give a rational explanation why he should do it? before you ask for an explanation for pac's refusal you should ask yourself what is the reason for floyd's demand. anybody who would just oblige to somebody's demand without question is dumb...like you.

Are you a doctor or do you even specialized in this kind of field to say what PED it is? C'mon man stop with this BS already.
