Promoters Branco Milenkovic and Don King are fighting over where to stage an IBF bantamweight mandatory eliminator between former champion Joseph Agbeko, ranked third, and Vusi Malinga, ranked 8. ¿Home advantage?!
Malinga's promoter admited that he wants the fight to be in south Africa to give his man an advantage...That sounds like home cooking to Me...Even if Adbeko's promoter(Don King)looses the purse bid, Adbeko and his people should protest having to fight in Malinga's home country on the grounds of what his opponent's promoter said...Lately there has been some bad decisions do to some serious home cooking like in Malignaggi vs Diaz 1, Diaz won a controversial decision & Chris John vs Rocky Juarez 1, the fight was declared a draw when it was clear that John won, in both cases the fight was in Houston Texas and the decision favored the Houston fighters..These are only 2 examples of many & we don't need anymore of these home cooking decision's...And this fight between Adbeko & Malinga seems to be heading in that direction, unless the fight takes place in a neutral place...
