Comments Thread For: Mundine vs Medley: Anthony Having Weight Struggles

Aussie bad boy Anthony Mundine is having some serious weight struggles for his January 11 bout with fellow Australian Robert Medley. Mundine was a two-time WBA champion at super middleweight. He vacated the title and moved down to middleweight. He captured the IBO title at 160 and soon-after he made a decision to move down to junior middleweight. The fight with Medley is for the vacant IBO title at 154. Mundine wants to become the first fighter to wins titles in the three divisions - by moving backwards. [Click Here To Read More]

What does he expect? My mate was talking to Daniel Geale and he said Mundine wouldn't make it, I know he won't make it, if he does his legs will be gone and he will be all done after the 3rd or 4th round. I don't like him but I don't like to see any fighter being weight drained and getting hurt, when you are weight drained you are so vulnerable in there, he could get really hurt.

Don't know why Mundine wanted to do this, even if it's history, it's not like he's winning anything major with this move down in weight. He was having massive trouble making 160.

No **** Mundine. That's usually why people move up in weight. Mundine is a total moron. and besides the belt he is fighting for is joke as well.

Mundine is a joke to boxing. After he beat Geale he said he wanted to fight all the top middleweights, he even mentioned Pavlik. Then he chooses to go down in weight. That makes no sense. He fights no top guys and will never fight any top guys.

not only is it an IBO belt, but its also vacant...
I hope he gets smashed and Medley retires the cnt from boxing.

Isn't Mundine notorious for bitching and complaining in the press?

That said, few things are worse than training on an empty stomach.
