Comments Thread For: Billy Graham’s 09 British Boxing Review: Khan, Haye, More

Billy Graham retired from boxing in August of 2008 after working the corner of erratic journeyman Ojay Abrahams, who also retired from the sport that night. The veteran trainer has been working on a documentary in the meantime as well as considering a number of book offers. The documentary is partially completed and will be finished after the conclusion of Graham’s court case with former charge Ricky Hatton, who Graham is taking to court for unpaid monies. Graham exhibits the typical hypocritical mindset of the Klitschko detractors:
they are, he implies, lumbering giants who move like glaciers (that must be why Vitali broke the Compubox record for jabs thrown by a heavyweight in his last fight), yet Haye has a "tough test ahead" to beat either Klitschko brother. If they are lumbering and move like glaciers, what is the problem?

As for the 1970s, they are long gone and they aren't coming back, and nothing is ever as good as people remember it to be, anyway. This era is still the Klitschko era in heavyweight boxing, and David "The Mouth" Haye isn't going to change that fact. In fact, he turned down the chance to change that fact: twice. So far, Haye has looked lousy as a heayvweight, and gives one no reason to believe he can ever rule the division, beyond the usual UK jingoistic cheerleading.

Foookin hell...Billy is a foookin comedian, I always thought he was funny on his episodes on 24/7.he looks to be a str8 shooter.would be good to see him and fatton settle their differences, I could be wrong but I thought they had very close relationship. I thought fatton could have done better with Billy rather "predator" against pac..maybe 3-4th round.
