BoxingScene.com spoke with promoter Dan Goossen about two of the heavyweights in his stable, James Toney and Tony Thompson. Goossen is trying to line up tough opponents for both in early 2010. solis would beat toney handily at this point..but would definatly make solis work. thompson and peter is a pretty evenly matched fight..i would pick thompson by close decision because he has a big height and reach advantage and has very good jab and also has a good chin when he needs it..

It's good that Goossen will be keeping Tony Thompson active.
Thompson-Peter is an intriguing matchup, as is Thompson-Solis and Toney-Solis.
Those guys SHOULD be fighting each other, not clubfighters like Gabe Brown, Adnan Serin, Ronald Bellamy and Matthew Greer.

Something tells me that the build up to a Tarver-Toney fight would be more exciting than the actual event. These guys are old as dirt. I guess I'd have to pick Toney if the fight happened though. I'd watch it for sure nontheless.

so sick of that disrespectful tub of lard.
But Toney would never fight him. James "Belly's Out" Toney is really just a loud-mouthed ***** who's been ducking the top heavyweights since the Peter fights.
