With Jermain Taylor refusing to walk away from the Super Six tournament, Green [a Super Six backup] obviously needs an alternate plan. Bute's side, and HBO, would prefer a fight with WBO/WBC middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik. That possibility is looking more unlikely by the week. Promoter Bob Arum insists that Pavlik is going to remain at 160-pounds for the better of 2010. Arum would like to see Pavlik fight either Paul Williams or WBA champion Felix Sturm - or both. Bute should beat Green no problem, that's a fight I do not want to see. I want to see Bute vs Pascal or Bute vs Diaconu.

It would be interesting in the fact that these are the two guys replacing the oft beaten Jermain Taylor if not for the differences between HBO and Showtime. Green generally has been an question mark, is he going to be a star or not? And Bute is blooming as a champion. But they are the best two supermiddleweights this side of the supersix!

Hope it happens. No other fight out there can really happen. Everyone is in the SMW tourney. Plus I still want to see Pavlik fight Williams and maybe Martinez. Maybe Martinez vs Sturm. The winners meet.
