Anyone that believe that if the Klits were American, they would be more popular is a

****en moron. Nationality has nothing to do with it. Ethnicity has nothing to do with it. How do you explain the popularity of Manny Pacquiao? Miguel Cotto? Even Ricky Hatton was on roll here in America.

The only way a human being could believe that the Klits aren't popular because of their nationality is if they function on a daily basis with the aid of a protective helmet and the careful watch of a caring adult.

It is their fighting style you morons. STFU now.

I'm sick of the whiny nationalistic **** too.

HW ain't got incredibly excitin fights, so the top 2 guys, despite bein juggernauts, don't get as many props as they should.

      Simple as that.

The K bros own, but their division is weak.

Wlad Klitscko IS popular here though. I been to several of his fights at the Garden and he consistantly sells in the area of 17,000 seats.

Cotto does only slightly better in the Garden

            yup

They are popular and well known... But what is there to talk about.. I just dont enjoy heavy weight bouts as much because of the lack of skill in the division.

If Wlad were American he'd be a lot more popular here don't be foolish. America loves anything that's their's. They'll jump on the soccer team when they're good, follow a swimmer for 20 days every 4 years because he's the best.

Boring or not they'd know and care about a dominant American heavyweight more than they do a dominant Ukrainian heavyweight. Fact.

Actually if you have a certain nationality, many of the nationality will back you up at the beginning. If you are a entertaining fighter, you will attract many others look at Pacquiao.

Larry Holmes was a long-reigning HW champ who was involved in some really dramatic fights and he was not especially popular nor beloved, even in an era when boxing was bigger.

If you want to argue the whole American white heavyweight thing, that's another debate, but Americans in general aren't really that big on boxing.
