Ruiz's career ain't great lets be honest, he has a few good wins (Holyfield, Golota) but some bad losses too (RJJ, Valuev twice, Tau by brutal KO) But Haye doesn't have a Heavyweigth career yet so any wins kinda trump what little he has.

Haye is by a huge margin the better fighter.

LOL @ people picking David Haye.

I mean let's be honest here, I don't like either one of the guys but Haye could have NEVER beaten the caliber of opponents Ruiz has already beaten in his career, nor would he have fought most of them, because he doesn't care about legacy, he cares about money.

Right now Ruiz has had a more accomplished career at heavyweight but he is not the better talent.

Dude, Ruiz has wins over Holyfield, Oquendo, Golota, Rahman, Johnson and more, are you saying Ruiz will ever accomplish that much? No way.

Haye RAN from Valuev, Ruiz fought him toe to toe and got robbed.

Well David spent most of his boxing career not in the Heavyweight division so I think the overall boxing acheivement should sway to Haye, but regarding only what accomplishments in Heavyweight... right now it's prob Ruiz.

Those are two different questions, Haye has the better record. He's a two weight world champion with only 23 fights. Unified 2 belts at Cruiserweight which hasn't been done since Holyfield and moved up to HW to beat Valuev which also hasn't been done by anyone since Holyfield.

Ruiz was a OK Heavyweight and despite his ugly style was effective, but he suffered losses which destroy his record and career and his wins aren't all that great either.

Ruiz lost (ignoring very early losses due to inexperience):
              Tua (KO1)
              Holyfield (old & they split 2 fights with a L, W and D)
              Roy Jones Jr. (easy UD)
              Toney (changed to NC)
              Valuev
              Chagaev

              He beat:
              Holyfield (old)
              McCline (old)
              Rahman
              Tucker (old)
              Oquendo
              Johnson

Haye has lost to (I'm taking into account early losses/loss at only 11 fights in to former Cruiserweight champion):
Carl Thompson (take into account Hayes inexperience)

              Beat:
              Valuev
              Barrett (old, fringe contender)
              Maccarinelli
              Mormeck
              Fragomeni
Williams (former Cruiser champ Haye KO'd him with only 10 fights)

Haye if he retired today, has achieved more in his brief pro career than Ruiz has. Going by HW accomplishment though, Ruiz is better so far but Haye has been a HW a year, Ruiz has been as HW since 1992....

Rahman isn't a good win, he sucks, Johnson was winning until the 10th and got DQ'd Ruiz didn't beat him. Oquendo fought for 2 titles and comfortably lost both he's a Good Journeyman at best.
