I think Paul Williams is still a factor for anyone except B-Hop. I think he slept on Martinez a tab, and was too ****y in trying to knock him out. Against anyone else, I don't think Paul will come in that sloppy. He'll have his hands full with Hopkins though.
Dan Goosen wants Bernard Hopkins for Paul Williams next.

If they fight at 165,the Punisher will beat B-hop,believe it!!Most people on here wanted the Punishers downfall because of his few fans myself included who thinks he's better than given credit for!!I think the Martinez fight was very close, razor thin, with that out the way,Martinez & B-Hop are nothing alike!!Punisher struggles with southpaws,he's adapted to them twice to wiggle free of defeat!!B-Hop doesn't move as much as Martinez, plus he is orthadox & he has trouble with volume punching,at 165 the Punisher wins!!If they fight at 168 or 174,B-hop wins because that is his dominant weight right now!!Comment

Gossen is a hypocrite fuck!! Doesn't want to give Martinez a rematch but yet bitches about a rematch with Paul.
Also, I know Bernard would take this fight over Dawson in a heartbeat. Another smaller guy to build on his legacy full of it.Comment

It would be a really dumb move by Dan Goosen. And hopkins would probably take the fight too if roy jones doesn't happen.
Looking at it from Paul's point of view, I really don't see the appeal in this fight. What would it prove beating 45 year old hopkins? Does it add much to his legacy? Does it create any future fights for him? The risk factor is great - he loses and it's a huge setback (see Kelly Pavlik as an example as what can happen when you lose to a man that old).
If I were Williams, I would either rematch Martinez or go after one of the other top guys at 154. Or maybe wait for pavlik, although he's been down that road before.Last edited by ИATAS; 12-07-2009, 01:53 PM.Comment
