I would honestly, train and train and train ... manny needs to learn how to BOX not fight Mayflower. if he goes in thinking it will be a fight he's sadly mistaken. if manny opens up and doesn't play it smart and tech he's going to get set up, shook and then he will pot shot him till round 12 for a mayweather UD.

Manny needs to learn how to box, to be honest that is is biggest weakness. when cotto started to box manny was really ineffective. and cotto stole some rounds, may will come to box. If manny can find opening to make it a fight they he should commit to those chances. but he sould take what may gives him... if he fights outta sync with the flow of the fight... may will kill him. he need to work on slipping the jab or timing it with his left. he also needs to NOT lunge in with his shots... may may not be a huge puncher but if you body weight is behind you moving in like bute timed andrade you get shook.

numer one plan Manny need to box and box fast. liek a rightright wait... see what his tendencies are, the begin to formulate a gameplane off the last round fought. sublte pressure. cut off the rig, manny is going to have to use every EVERy bit of boxing knowledge and skill and fitness he has for him to capitalize.

Mayweather is no bum and first and for most needs to respect that to the highest degree.
Its too late for Manny to learn how to box...they will live and die by his style...and thats the problem.

The fighters who trouble him the most are those who get inside his range and make him stand toe to toe but this doesn't happen often at all. Even when he knocked an already beaten Hatton into the ring-post Floyd was taking no risks and was fighting on the backfoot.

Somehow Pacquiao is going to have to drag Floyd into going toe to toe at least once so he can land something of significance which could change the fight in an instant. If he does this he can end it because Floyd won't see the punches coming. Trouble is, Floyd is the most cautious fighter out there, deeply unexciting but very effective. He'll run all night and could pot-shot Pac to a wide UD or stop him late.

He has simply got to cut the ring off and force Floyd to stand and fight at some point. It's so difficult to fight someone who is hitting you as you're coming forward trying to hunt him down.

One thing was is surprising is how confident Roach is, but then he thinks the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight was close when it clearly wasn't so perhaps he doesn't have Mayweather as figured out as he thinks.
This is not true by any means...

the rest of your post was great

If Pacquiao demolished Cotto in a humiliating fashion, how much more will he do to Gayweather. It's a walk in the park for Pacquiao.

Pacquiao by brutal KO in the 6th round.

And yes, he definitely needs to be at his best when it comes to head movement against the sharp-shootin' Floyd.

One thing I notice about PAC when he has a fighter on the ropes, is he tends to smother his own punches, he needs to fix that, because I think he'll be able to get Floyd Jr against the ropes often enough and he'll need to take advantage of it everytime. Because, I just don't see PAC winning the fight in the middle of the ring.

Although PAC's jab is virtually non-existent, he'll still need to jab. One way to offset a jabber, is to jab with him.
Pac is the same size as Marquez and Pac will be easy to find....

how can a fighter with a come forward & fight style not be easy to find?

THE BEST PLAN FOR FREDDIE IS TO HIRE P WILLIAMS TO FIGHT FOR MANNY. I can see Manny landing a couple of shots but because Mayweather has good head movement, body movement and has a longer reach. Its going to be hard for Manny to actually get off. I would recommend that he throws his combinations and if he connects to get on his bike and make FLOYD come to him to get his points. If not this will be a one sided fight.
