No and he never will be. Mayweather comes from a country where him being a fighter, world champion, p4p number 1 is a common thing and an achivement that his country has seen, several times over. Thus his accomplishment loses its luster as its expected. He also comes from a country that is generally rich in athletes who are at the top or near the top of their respective sport. So his accomplishment isnt going to touch lives or inspire millions.

Floyd will never, ever, ever be on the cover of time magazine. Ever.

Umm, just this decade alone there have been numerous American athletes that have been on the cover of TI*E magazine.

What you touched on, is just one of the reasons a sports figure ends up on that type of magazine. Floyd, of course, would never end up on a magazine such as T*ME ? Would you put Floyd on the cover of T*ME magazine whether he was bowler, a golfer, a fisherman, or a boxer, a cyclist ?

I wish my boy floyd will be in time magazine someday. If only he fights fighters like mosley, cotto, margarito and p. williams and win all of those fights he could be cover in the time magazine.
