    Again the cotto fight?

Pac wanted cotto to hit him...It's called a psy war...Pacquiao trying to get into the head of cotto by walking through his punches...If you noticed, there were points in the fight when Pacquiao was just standing on the ropes doing nothing...That was manny telling cotto to throw punches...

The manny today is different from the manny that fought JMM...He improved his right hand, his footwork, his chin, and his defense...

I say that what everyone tries to do to Floyd...which is why people call Floyd a "runner" because he seem to be great fighting backwards and great off fighting off the ropes...which means that he was pressured.

He counters effectively...and doesnt waste punches while being pressure..and still gets off his insid blows thisclose to an opponent.
past tense of pressure is pressured.

      what's insid? bisaya ka dong?

You make it seem as if Pac is Paul Williams or something....lol...

Pac is 5-6, 144 pounds....Hes not Tyson and hes very easy to hit..and Cotto was boxing him beautifully until Cotto got hit then turned *****...and Cottos power****ed up Pacs eardrums severly.

I kinda think that Pac can get Floyd on the ropes pretty easy. I mean lets face it DLH didnt have 25% of the speed Pac has at that fight. I relise DLH is bigger but he trapped Floyd afew times using his size. Pac is gonna try to trap Floyd using his speed and the punches he throws from all angles. I havent picked a winner yet if this fight happens bc it is really a toss up. But I think Pac handles Floyds defence better than alot of Floyd fans think. I also feel Floyd can handle Pacs punches in bunches better than Pac fans think. Its a very very good fight to watch and if it happens I think it will go down to the wire. But you can make arguments all day on how Floyd can outbox Pac and how Pac can out slug Floyd. Awesome fight awesome I really hope it happens. Its the fight that boxing needs.

Logically Floyd should win. He's worlds above Marquez even if they were exactly the same on fight night instead of about 10 lbs apart. And Marquez gave Pac trouble. But Pac doesn't seem to be the same fighter that fought Marquez, nowadays.

Its not always about punching power, sometimes its about catching someone with a straight punch, and using their own momentum against them, or... hitting them with a punch they don't see or expect. A punch not seen or expected does 10x the damage of a punch that is seen and braced for. So power disadvantages can be circumvented in that way. For instance, if Floyd catches Manny while Manny is moving, or slightly offbalance from a lunge,he could KD him, just by being a fighter that hits another fighter in a sneaky way, and having better balance when doing it. This is essentially what Pac did to Cotto in the first knockdown of their fight. Caught him moving in, and had better balance at the time.

I think a good point was made about combinations though. I can't really think of a fighter that Floyd has faced that puts together combinations quite like Manny. So the question becomes, can Floyd guard against frenzied hailstorms of punches, and when punches do inevitably come crashing through his defense, will they be too powerful? Or, will he SEE them coming and thus negate the damage with head and torso movement? Will he be able to tie up pac on the inside and deliver phone booth style offense?

Or will Pac, the most offensively aligned and biggest pressure fighter he has ever faced, just steamroll him?

This is what makes the matchup so interesting to me, aside from how huge the event would be.
