Haye clearly won...Valuev is garbage just like I figured he was...
Did David Haye Set An All Time Record For Fewest Punches Thrown In A Victory?

Shannon Briggs hasn't won a 12 round decision over anyone aside from Foreman.
That's actually a perfect example of how badly Haye fought as Briggs threw a great many more punches (and landed more) at a much more dangerous George Foreman in that fight and won a decision that left a lot of people pissed off.Comment

Seriously though, opinions aside, can anyone think of a fight that went the distance with the victor being very inactive just for comparison?
We're talking about the possibility of this being an ALL TIME RECORD. We should be giving this a little more attention. It's not everyday a fighter makes history.Comment

David Haye would get owned by either Klit broCan anybody think of another example where a fighter attempted less than 150 punches in a 12 round fight and still won?
This should be a fun challenge, anyone who can find an example confirmed by some kind of authentic punch count # will win 25K boxingscene points from the Hitman.
Haye threw 143 against Valuev based on the totals I have seen, That's an average of under 12 attempted punches per round.
Someone find an example that beats it........

The best example I could think of off hand was Jermain Taylor versus Cory Spinks.
The crowd booed the crap out of what was universally labeled as a snoozer.
Taylor attemped 309 punches, more than double Haye's output.Comment

A strong emphasis on clean effective punching yes, but other factors are important too......I don't remember Haye getting manhandled, intentionally falling to the canvas to avoid inside fight, holding in excess.......even though you are right in what you say and if you put what you are saying into a math equation it makes perfect sense..... but when you watch both fights, its hard for me to say Dirrell won a fight all things considered, and easy for me to say Haye won a boxing match.Comment

The first one that came to mind was Norwood outpointing JMM. Just looked it up though and Norwood actually threw 290.Seriously though, opinions aside, can anyone think of a fight that went the distance with the victor being very inactive just for comparison?
