Would a boxer with the style of a boxer from the 70 or 80's dominate today?

    Would a boxer with the style of a boxer from the 70 or 80's dominate today?

    The question is simple could anyone with the style of Wilfredo Gomez, Wilfred Benitez, Tommy Hearns, Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran, dominate in today's division, because in those times there was more movement in the fight today they are more flat footed if you know what I mean.

      I'd pick Leonard to beat any top WW today...Hearns would present a ton of problems too...

      It'd be a felony wat Hagler would do to some of today's middleweights...

        Those are truely great fighters so yeah the would dominate today like they did in thier primes.

          The fighters you listed would have likely been great fighters in any era.

            Agreed. They are ATG for a reason. They'd be great in any era of Boxing.

              I'd pick Benitez over anyone at 140, and would be very competitive at 147.
