I don't even understand half your post..

I wasn't referring to the Dawson-Johnson fight.. I was giving an example on why it's not smart to use compubox to back your statements..

Like I said, I had Dawson winning by 1 or 2 rounds.. I think he will win even easier this fight.

      Problem with compubox is that:

      A: Human error is involved.
B: Judging fights the way they need to be judged means that compubox means very little. If one guy wins a round VERY convincingly, and the punch stats back that up, it doesn't mean more than if the opponent won more rounds, but in less one sided fashion.

It's round by round. Dominating rounds can cause a skew in the punch stats. But the object is to win more rounds. The rounds Johnson won, he dominated, and that's why the punch stats are how they are. But Dawson won more rounds.
Dawson's fans are more humble about their boy than the Cotto fans, but I go across the board and call out fighters who I think are overrated. To me, that would be a big criteria I would use if judging a fight. If one fighter dominates all the rounds he won, and the other fighter just wins squeak rounds on top of getting hit with bombs as opposed to shoe shine punches, I go with the fighter bringing the heat. Same reason I thought Mosley beat Cotto even though that was less of a shady decision than this fight was because Cotto hit Mosley with some pretty good punches. At least Chad never ran though. I've got to give him that.

I was referring to the correctness of your post and then went into my whole thing about how several rounds were close and you could have had a wide decision for either man if you scored close rounds for the same man, then the scores wouldn't reflect the competitiveness of the fight.
Glen has slipped considerably since then and will most likely be beaten convincingly this time.

Dawson has admitted that Johnson has slipped and got older, thus taking credit away from his own potential victory. Johnson is gonna put up a tougher fight than you think. He got up for this fight because he feels like it's personal. He knows what Chad brings to the table, and he has been in shape for the past few weeks. I don't think anything is gonna change the fact that Johnson has got better stamina and more of an ability to deflect punches while Dawson is pretty bad when it comes to defending straight right hands down the middle.

You can't do that though. Fights are scored round by round.

You can't just go "Well Johnson dominated the last round, so even though I think Dawson won this one I'm gonna give it to Johnson." That's just not how it works.

I didn't score it but I thought Glen won...but it didn't seem like some kind of robbery...

It was a real close fight but I had Chad winning by a point or two, I can't remember. And no, it was NOT a worser robbery than Froch-Dirrell.

Not only did Johnson dominate the rounds that he won in my view. I only found five rounds to give to Chad when I watched it. And like I said, the 10th round could've been a 10-8 to me easily. This fight was a highway robbery and it cost Johnson a lot of money he may never get back, because we should've gotten either a Dawson-Johnson rematch right away, or a Dawson-Tarver rubber match. And a lot of the punches that that report has Dawson landing probably didn't even get through either because I saw a **** load of them landing on Glen's gloves. Come on, people need to be real. It's not about me disliking Chad Dawson. It's about getting people who don't see the reality of this fight to get the proper perspective.

Number one, there's absolutely no way it was highway robbery. That's not even debatable.

I don't really have a problem with you scoring the fight for Johnson. It was close. That's not the issue. You said that if one guy is dominating the rounds he's winning, it influences the way you score the fight. That is what doesn't make sense.

If you thought Johnson won 7 rounds, that's fine. But if you gave him some of those rounds just because he dominated a few others, there's a problem with that.
