Frankie Gavin, James DeGale Give Warren High Hopes

Frank Warren watched Frankie Gavin and James DeGale post impressive wins in Liverpool on Saturday night and the veteran promoter believes that both men have shown that they have got what it takes to get to the top. Warren told the Liverpool Echo that both boxers performed well; capturing the imagination of the knowledgeable Liverpool fight crowd in the process. DeGale hammered Ally Morrison in three-rounds and Frankie took apart the tough Steve Saville in two one-sided stanzas. [details]

Price beat Liridon Memishi (quit on stool at end of 2nd Rd) and Yavor Marinchev (Won a decision) in October 2009. He signed with Maloney and he's back. He looks like he's lost a bit of confidence due to the long lay off but I think in the long run he'll be better than Tyson Fury!

Hopefully they are the future of British boxing, though i haven't really watched them yet. Frank Warren will probably pad out their records though before we see them in any good fights.

What about Billy Joe Saunders? His adapted to the pro game better then Gaven and De Gale IMO.

the price thing was just unfortunate timing, wasnt it? hes back active now but his layoff was due to signing with hayemaker very shortly before setanta went under, so he had to get new contracts etc sorted before he could box
