Ask yourself this: Why would any of those guys be interesting fighting Bernard Hopkins, a guy who just won the middleweight title but hadn't proven jack to them? That's like the top guys at welter right now fighting Timothy Bradley, just because Bradley decides to move to welter and look for a fight. Wouldn't happen.

I wish Hopkins would've fought Chad Dawson and told Roy to go fuck himself. He isn't going to get any credit for beating Roy Jones. You can tell by the way people post that they are praying for that roid using cherry picker to win. But if he loses, they will bring up the excuse of him being over the hill and shot.

            Wright - light middleweight
And Antonio Tarver was coming from being a heavyweight from making the movie Rocky 6. Seriously Tarver had to lose a lot of weight and was out of shape for that fight. He definitely wasn't the same Tarver that beat Jones Jr.
Hopkins just likes to fight names no matter what size their from. Winky Wright beat him, but didn't get the decision.

We all wish he did that. Instead he has completely ignored Dawson. And of course he's not going to get credit for beating Jones, why should he? ****, Calzaghe doesn't get credit for it.

After Dawson beat Tarver, Hopkins could've fought him I guess. But I think it has more to do with Dawson's inability to put asses in seats and generate money than Hopkins being afraid of him. And I think he would've fought Dawson in the early part of 2010 if HBO didn't let him take that long ass layoff after the Tarver rematch.

He would've fought Dawson if HBO didn't let him take a long layoff? LOL. Let's face it, he never had any intentions of fighting Dawson. Whether it's the money or the risk. HBO have invested in Dawson and would love nothing more than for him to make his mark against Hopkins. They've offered that fight to Hopkins twice and he has not been interested. The Jones fight is happening because that's what Bernard wants. If anyone else did this we'd be all up in their a** and complaining.

He should of fought Dawson, but he never will. Dawson most probably will beat him at this point in his carrer and he knows that, fast hands, good workrate it would be Hopkins/Calzage all over again.
My belief is that If Hopkins beats Jones then he will retire.
roid using cherry picker, thats funny.

I think people who think Dawson will beat Hopkins if they fight is not analyzing the strengths of each fighter. Dawson does not have that high of a work rate and he takes breaks in rounds. I think Hopkins would exploit that. Also, I think Dawson is easier to hit than Pavlik is even though he is a more skilled boxer. Pavlik keeps his gloves close to his face all the time. Dawson is such a sucker for right hands which is Bernard's best punch. If the Hopkins that beat Pavlik shows up against Dawson, he'd beat him easily in my view. The only way Dawson wins that fight is if Hopkins really has grown old overnight. Dawson strikes me as a mentally weak fighter who's not that good on the inside. Don't get me wrong, I want to see the fight unlike Mayweather fans don't want to see a Mayweather-Mosley fight. But if the fight gets signed, I'll be willing to bet all my points on Bernard.
