Comments Thread For: The Beltline: ?Shut the f*** up and watch the fights?
Boxing's power brokers believe fans should be seen and not heard. They should pay their money ? for a ticket or pay-per-view ? and then only watch, not comment. How nice.

Top article. It is crazy the megalomania shown by the likes of White and some other promoter's. Them statements by White are disgusting to say the least
. He's too high in his own hype. Only time will tell where this journey takes him. Hopefully it's a humbling one.
This guy knows what he's talking about. Promoters know we will watch anything like we read a book and we know the ending, the Iliad, Sun Tsu, only these guys are not feeding us any classics, just feeding a habit. Emeril slicing an onion, Leonardo building a bird house, we pay for the name, the titles, the zeros, the reputation, everyting except the risk. We pay for mismatches, geezer wars and granny ****ing. The old time competition is rare, now It's all about the shocking upsets.
I've gotten pretty choosy regarding fights these days. I'm not blowing a Saturday night to watch a subpar match. There is too much competition for entertainment, and boxing isn't delivering. Sorry. And if I do watch, I'm streaming it. White thinks he's some kind of kingpin, but he's not delivering a quality product. I'm not going to even waste my time stealing it.
Did any commenters actually read the article? Cos your the babies he talks about.
Context, he told a reporter who cried about using Ai to stfu, i personally agree, that has nothing to do with the fights.
Paramount just paid 7 billion, they can Ai all they like.
Idgaf whats going on right now, i do care about the Ali act *********s restricting the alphabelts to 1 belt each.

the comments by this writter are " disgusting" and worst he dont speak for me as a fight fan not even close, and if he thinks money dont matter and how the promo boys get it he is ******er then then sound in this little write up.................
All I can say is... we will see. Boxing has slowly degraded it's product to being a niche sport in the US, relying on Europe and Japan for talent and fan interest. For a couple years, a comeback seemed likely as Saudi money spurred some great fights fans thought they would never see. Unifying the sport basically behind DAZN may be expensive, but at least it is a reliable content provider in this day and age of segregated entertainment platforms. Will White's Zuffa help or hurt? Will the markets boxing still strong in continue. or will it fall to a completely niche thing? I do not know. But I know failure is certainly still on the table for the sport I have grown up loving to watch.
