That move would make sense for him. He can't make 140 safe anymore and let alone do the second weigh in for the IBF. In that way he also get's rid of his mandatory and the screams to give Duarte a fight.
He will earn a big payday from Zuffa (Turki) and can move up to 147 since they do not recognize 140 as division. But who will he fight Valenzuela? I doubt it since he made it clear that he is a 135 pounder. Maybe Benn who now fights at 150 : D Or they sign another big or no name for him to fight. Zuffa is unpredictable nothing makes sense and everything is one big contradiction, they must have learned very quick from the sanctioning bodies.

Don't sign unless you don't believe in your skills. Like Shakur, just grow up. Look at how he talks and behaves since the Teo fight. He finally understands that acting like a high school kid doesn't sell. Street cred doesn't sell fights. Act like a gown man and handle your business and marketing like a grown man. Canelo is the $ man and look at how he markets himself. Talk like a child and get treated as such during negotiations.

Zuffa is for guys who've reached their limit and still have enough name recognition to get a few paydays.
