This fight was watchable even though everyone could see the physical difference between Anderson and Tyron. I was a bit worried that the referee was going to let Tyron continue when his eyes were clearly glazed, but he called it off before any more engagement. Both fighters were gracious to each other, which was good to see.
In an earlier bout, all three judges scored the junior lightweight fight 60-53, all in favor of Harvey, a 23-year-old from Oxon Hill, Maryland, who improved to 2-0 (1 KO). Cervantes, a Colombian who had been off for more than two years prior to his previous fight.
I've got to say that I didn't know what Cervantes' fight plan was. He kept up a peek-a-boo stance throughout the fight, even though he knocked out his last opponent (no idea of the quality of that opponent). He never displayed anything and Harvey put on a show against him, including penetrating that defence all night long.
