  • Gavin Rees Will Use Prizefighter To Boost Career

Former WBA light-welterweight champion Gavin Rees, 29, is taking part in the next Prizefighter event, which will take place at Olympia's National Hall, London in December. The Welshman will be joined by Ted Bami, who took part in the welterweight version of Prizefighter, David Barnes, who is on a roll of seven wins, Jason Cook, Colin Lynes, who narrowly lost in an EBU title tilt to Souleymane M’Baye back in July, Barry Morrison, Young Mutley and Lee Purdy. wow, awesome event in terms of quality, wonder if the prize is still the same. Bamis done one of these before, so hes probably more used to the format, but i'd probably pick barnes. Really tough though since the event is so stacked

gavin rees is not BIG enough to win this. A few of these lads have done well as welterweights and come down, gavin doesnt look at home at 10 stone at all. Not sure if mutleys shot, the three round thing might work well for him as a big hitter, and you never lose that. All he needs to do is score a knockdown and you basically cant lose
