    Mosconi Cup 2025

Mosconi Cup 2025 Teams and Qualification
The Mosconi Cup features two five-player teams — Team Europe and Team USA. Each team includes four core players plus a captain who may also compete as a player.

    Qualification Process:

The top three players on the World Nineball Tour (WNT) rankings will qualify automatically.

Two additional players, including a captain’s pick and a wildcard, will be selected by Matchroom Pool.

The qualification cut-off happens after the Philippines Open Pool Championship in late October 2025.

    Team Europe (expected lineup)
While the official lineup will be announced later in the year, Europe’s pool powerhouses such as Jayson Shaw, Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Eklent Kaçi, and David Alcaide are strong contenders. Europe has dominated recent editions and will aim to continue that streak in front of a home crowd.

    Team USA (expected lineup)
Team USA will look for redemption after struggling in recent years. Players like Shane Van Boening, Skyler Woodward, and Fedor Gorst are likely to lead the charge. The American squad will be determined to break Europe’s dominance and bring the Cup back home.

    Captains and Strategy
Both teams traditionally feature a captain who guides strategy and pairings. The captain’s leadership plays a huge role, especially in doubles matches where chemistry and table control are key.

Mosconi Cup 2025 Venue – Alexandra Palace, London
The Alexandra Palace, affectionately known as “Ally Pally,” will once again host the Mosconi Cup. It’s one of London’s most iconic venues, renowned for hosting major sports and entertainment events.
